Meet Megan (Meg) Martin, MSHRM

Meg Martin helps small businesses build structure, confidence, and compliance through practical HR and business systems. She also provides small business solutions that support operations, growth, and sustainability beyond traditional HR. This guide combines real-world experience with modern AI tools to help owners work smarter — not harder. With nearly two decades in Human Resources, Meg brings big-company strategy to small-business realities, helping leaders protect their companies while caring for their people. With a very versatile resume, Meg has worked in several industries; fast food, non-profit, legal, maritime & logistics, and construction.

Born and raised in Uptown, New Orleans, Meg brings a chic yet down-to-earth presence to her work environment, keeping it grounded in community, culture, and service. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business from Southern University at New Orleans and her Master’s degree in Human Resource Management, graduating at the top of her class as a member of the Golden Key Honor Society for scholastic achievement. Her educational journey and professional path fuel her commitment to opening doors for others — especially those who may not have had the same access or opportunities she had to fight for when entering the corporate sector.

As a Mother, Consultant, Educator, Digital Product Creator, and Service Provider, Meg understands the real pressures business owners and working families face. She founded Maple HR Solutions to remove the guesswork from HR while delivering broader small business support through clear systems, easy-to-use templates, and hands-on guidance that protect both the business and its people. Her approach is practical, compassionate, and rooted in doing business the right way — without the overwhelm.

Grounded in her faith as a believer, Meg views her work as service and stewardship. She is passionate about community impact and believes strongly in giving young people access to financial education, human resource practices, and career pathways — high school students in particular. Through mentoring and outreach, she is committed to giving others the chances, guidance, and encouragement she didn’t receive early in her career. She views HR and entrepreneurship as tools for economic empowerment and generational progress.
